Kulti ry is the student association for biomedicine students at University of Eastern Finland. First and foremost we are here to take care of our students’ rights and wellbeing. We stay in contact with the University administration and the Institute of Biomedicine to develop our studies and share the students’ perspective.

Events and Career promoting
Kulti organizes all kinds of events (often in co-operation with other student associations) to make the years as a student more memorable and fun. We do a lot of co-operation with many business’ as well to make biomedicine better known among businesses in our field and to promote our students’ and graduates’ career possibilities.

We organize many great events throughout the year. There are many events in the beginning of Autumn that provide new students a chance to get to know each other as well as the student culture. Kulti’s biggest and most legendary event of the year is Beer Pong tournament in October, organized together with Fortis ry.
Once a year we also do an excursion to another city to visit businesses that work in our field and to visit a local student association. The highlight of the student year in Finland is Vappu aka May Day (1st of May) so April is filled with many fun events as well.
The Student Board
There are 14 members in the Kulti’s student board and each has their own title and responsibility. The student board is chosen at the assembly in autumn each year. International students are supported not only by the Board, but also by Kulti ry’s Non-Board members and international student tutors.

We have our own club room in the Snellmania building (SN2064, 2nd floor, behind café Hav a Java) which is a place where our students can just hang out or most importantly enjoy a cup of coffee. It is a great place to meet other biomedicine students, see you there!
